Our Team

The current team of TRACE Analytics is formed by 8 people: 5 technical profiles (including our CEO), 1 financial profile, 1 sales manager and 1 administrator. This interdisciplinary team will be dedicated to achieving ContiTRACE’s goals and objectives, with special participation of the managing team, composed by the following TRACE members:

DR. WOLFGANG KÜNNECKE, CEO & FOUNDER OF TRACE ANALYTICS GmbH

Pharmacist, PhD in Biosensorics and Bioprocess engineering at the Society for Biotechnological Research (GBF) in Braunschweig (Germany).
He founded TRACE GmbH in 1991 and developed the company until what is now, a leader provider in bioprocess analysis solutions. He has been in charge of ContiTRACE development, and he will keep being the Coordinator of the project and Technical Leader. His managing skills and depth knowledge in biosensorics will be of essential importance to comply with the objectives in both technical and commercial plans.


DR. AXEL BAUER, CFO OF TRACE ANALYTICS GmbH

PhD in European Research funding at the Johann-Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt (Germany).
Dr. Bauer started his career in 1996 as an assistant in the Law and tax department of KPMG in Cologne. After finishing his doctorate in parallel to his work in KPMG. In 2001 Dr. Bauer founded a private equity company for German SMEs and developed it into a medium size regional player with 13 employees and 16 investments. Thanks to his experience in the field, Dr. Bauer will be the Financial and Legal Leader of ContiTRACE project. He will be in charge of financial strategy, accounting of the project and legal aspects linked to CE marking acceptance of the medical device.

MR. JAN-ERIC BIALEK, SALES MANAGER

Since Mr. Bialek finished his training as an industrial clerk (IHK) at Siemens AG in 1994, he has been active in medical technology. Mr. Bialek is an internationally experienced sales expert with more than 20 years of expertise in the field of medical device industry. Under his leadership, sales of a mid-sized manufacturer of intensive care supplies (with average value of less than 5 €) increased from 0,5 to 36 M€. He is currently working for international clients as an independent sales consultant and oversees the market launch of various products. Mr. Bialek will be the Business Developer for ContiTRACE project, taking over the distribution and commercial plan of the medical device, thanks to his valuable contacts with regard to intensive care units and through a worldwide dealer network of distribution channels.
